Our next classes will be dedicated to preparing the following assignments:


  • Assignment 3-descriptive writing-point of view (home). This will be due Monday June 2nd.
  • Assignment 4-report on chapter of novel (class). Wednesday June 4th.
  • RESEARCH PROJECT-REPORT-based on either novel or forum contribution, incorporating contributions to blog discussion and research. Book report due Monday June 2nd.
  • Assignment 5-argumentative essay (class) Monday June 9th.

In your group blogs, to explore the religions, ethnic groups and cultures, role of men and women, war and politics and immigrants:



Prepare a short presentation - 20 minutes maximum per group. You could include:

1. A quiz to test background understanding of Afghanistan and its peoples.
2. Images/videos /maps of Afghanistan and its peoples.
3. A trip along the paths that the novel The Kite Runner follows.
